learning and the mid-career nurse

  1. 0 I am currently engaged in a masters program in BC, Canada and doing research on the meaning of learning and the mid-career nurse. My broad question is 'what makes learning meaningful for nurses' who are between the ages of 35-55 and what motivates them to pursue learning and/or education or not. I have found that for some there is ongoing engagement and for many others there is limited interested. Have any of you experienced this in your careers or do you know of anyone who may be doing research in this area.
