by lansgrl123 May 3, '12Are there any nurse educators here that were involved in redesigning their curriculum to one that is concept-based? I have written my dissertation proposal and I am getting ready to go to my IRB. I am not seeking participants at this time but wondering if I have a viable study. I have found a few nursing faculty members that are supportive but only a few. Can anyone help me out here? Marie

- May 5, '12 by VickyRNIt is my understanding that nursing programs throughout the entire North Carolina Community College System just recently went through a major concept-based curriculum revision, so that all nursing programs throughout the state are now on the same page. Any faculty in these programs could be potential participants in your dissertation research

Hope this helps. Good luck on your dissertation! Are there any nurse educators here that were involved in redesigning their curriculum to one that is concept-based? - Jun 17, '12 by AndersoncrnaWe have just developed a new School of Nursing using a concept-based curriculum that is cross-walked with the QSEN compentencies and the BSN essentials. It was quite a project but flows very nicely and we will be implementing it this fall in two formats: Traditional BSN and Accelerated BSN. We are Anderson University (SC) School of Nursing - Anderson University - School of Nursing

Our Canadian baccalaureate program is currently developing a concept based curriculum. You likely have a viable study. As always the challenge will be keeping to a manageable sized question. I'd be pleased to participate.
best wishes,
