Just wondering if working at a LTC facility or a home health agency considered "experience". I would take a job at a SNF or in home health, but my ultimate goal is to get into an acute care hospital. Would I have a better chance if I worked at a SNF first? Is that considered some type of experience?

Jan 11 by sbostonRNWork in a place that will give you the most experience! I worked in a SNF fort first year and gained a ton of skills, most notably time management. The LTC side of things is more med pass, less skills. I was able to move on and get hired but I did have to sell myself and all I had learned there.
