I don't want to invest time and money just to not getting any job. I've read some gloomy comments and that's discouraging.

I ended up picking PTA over OTA since OTA is only given in those pro-money schools. I also was told PTA are more in demand than OTA. PTA is do given in Miami Dade College and Broward College is way less expensive but I am still worried about the jobs in my area. Other people say it is not that hard as people say.

I also checked this www.bls.gov/oes/current/oes312021.htm and it says it is kind of still on demand, so I am confuse that's why I have the next questions:

1)Has anyone heard about PTA being hard to find a job for these days? Anyone from Florida?

2) Is anyone still looking for job?

3) I am a 43 y/o man so, are women preferred over men when hiring people for a job?

4)Is really true that PTA have more demand jobs than OTA? or it is just a hype from advisors. (I won't take OTA anyway since it is not taught on Colleges but private expensive schools. Just curious with this question).

Any thoughts?

Ty in advance.

Have you tried contacting state or national PT or OT organization. I don't think Ivd seen a PT, OT, PTA or OTA post here

In my state those jobs are hard to come by that's why I'm in nursing school. You should check out job postings in your area, try career builder, monster, etc. Also, check how many schools have that program, it may be congested.
