What to do for a whole year?

Nurses Career Support

Published

Im applying for an NROTC scholarship and i wont find out if i get it until next year. Unluckily for me, Im ALREADY a highschool graduate so that means I'll have to wait a whole year not going to school...

Whats a good way to spend the year?

Volunteer work maybe for a medical facility maybe?

or a whole lot of reading and preparation? What books/references would you reccomend if this sounds like a good idea?

thank you! :chuckle

I applied today to become an OR Main Sterile Area Aid

I hope I get the job! :-D

Thank you everyone for your help

That is great tibal! I hope you get it (if you feel good about it) and that it will provide you with the experience you would benefit from!

:balloons: Congrats! :balloons:

Could you explain, to me, what that job title entails?

Thanks ! ;)

I'll be (if i DO get accepted for the job) assisting nurses in the operating room main sterile area with tools and medical equipment, probably get some patient care experience as well. Not too sure though.

I was told the job will be easy, but is very good experience and I can get accustomed to the kind of working environment.

Work as a CNA?

Do people enjoy being CNAs?
