Waited too long to work after graduation?

by sp893

Hi. I graduated with a BSN in May '07. Since then, I travelled for a bit and took the NCLEX twice and unfortunately failed both times. I am planning on taking the NCLEX again within the next month, hopefully third time's the charm. I was wondering if it would be extra difficult for me to be hired as a RN since I waited so long after I graduated to start working? Thank you!

It's not that long, just be prepared to answer the question as to why it took so long. Around this time hospitals are hiring new grads so it shouldn't be a problem.

Good luck.
