Vacation time question

I'm going to ask human resources but since I'm on here I thought I'd ask what this means:

New employees accrue vacation at the rate of two weeks for the first year of employment. Pro-rated for part-time employees.

What does pro-rated mean in this case? Thanks!

I would assume it means that the two weeks normally granted is lessened(pro rated) for PT employees by how much they actually work.
