Hi community I have been a nurse for a year and a half now, and already I am thinking about a change. I have always had trouble with being still/content for long periods. Like when I was in school I had 2part time jobs, then I got a third. I just like the feeling of doing something with my life, I felt like I was making a change some way some how.

But now with all the economic turmoil that is going on now a days I am thinking of changing from Rehab and Med-Surg but am afraid because I may not be able to get a job other places. I always knew that working in a hospital is not something I wanted to do for too long, I see myself as an educator or working within the community. So I went to a career fair and spoke with a recruiter from a Traveling Nurse agency. So I did my research and looked up a few agencies, but I am not looking to go too far because I am about to go back to school.

I am confused and seeking advice from novice travelers and experts:

Should I go forward with the traveling nurse due to the flexibility and continuous change I will see in the field.

Should I just stay within a hospital for a complete 2years and then make a change, because I did give myself 2years to work within a hospital setting and to work within Med-Surg.

What are the pros and cons of Traveling Nurse, for those who are travelers?

I have so many questions, can anyone out there help?
