transition from a LPN to RN

Nurses Career Support

Hello I am a RN nursing student. I have been a LPN for 12 years. Going back to school was scary but I will soon graduate! Yeah. Does anyone out there have any experience in transitioning from an LPN to a RN?

Specializes in Behavioral Health.

Yes. I was a LPN and graduated from a transition program in 2003. The transition went well for me. I moved right after I graduated in 2003 so I didn't work at the same place as when I was a LPN, which may have made a difference.

Good luck to you. If you have any specific questions, let me know.

Land of Lincoln is where I am from. I went to LPN school in Moline, Il.

Blackhawk College. Great program and excellent nurses come from there. MO

nurses are not up to that standard.
