- by martinalpn Dec 4, '12I need your advice on things to do in order to transfer my license from one state to another. What things did you do to get ready for your big move including things that may not be so obvious. Please help.

- Dec 4, '12 by amoLuciaQuote from Silverdragon102Check ALL states involved. And you'll need to follow their directions explicitly, else you'll get bogged down. BONs are notorious for being sticklers for their P&P.Give yourself time and check the BON website re time. Some states take a few days and others can take weeks to months to endorse
- Dec 5, '12 by mariebaileyThere's really no such thing as transferring your license to another state. If you are moving from one compact state to another compact state, you will still apply for licensure by endorsement. If the new state is not part of the Nursing Licensure Compact, you simply apply for a brand new license. You can be licensed in multiple states at one time. If I need to clarify, let me know. I've had to go about it by about every possible route at some point. https://www.ncsbn.org/nlc.htm#moving
