Teaching a class tomorrow!

Hello all!
I just joined and I am very excited to get started here!
I need some advice...
I am teaching some new grads (I was one a year and a half ago!) about pulmonary assessments. I also want to include some things that nurse to nurse we see in the clinical settings to help with my lecture.
I really want to let them know to do simple things like do a good H&P, good oral care, turning coughing and deep breathing. What to do when a patient is having respiratory distress and so forth. Anything else you all can add would be wonderful
Thanks!

You don't say how much time you have or what sort of materials you are going to use. Most students- nurses included- like PowerPoint to highlight topics and main points as well as add graphics, it is also a great way to give the students the lecture information to take with them for future reference. My advice is to keep it to the most important points and not to jam your time full of everything you have learned in the past 18 months into one lecture. Congratulations on being chosen as a 'go to' professional that can educate others in your work setting.
