Any other teachers turned nurses?

Hello everyone, I am a new member hear. I have been reading these forums for so long and finally decided to make an account to here I am haha!

I am making my first post about the fact that I went to school for teaching and realized during the courses and substitute teaching that teaching wasn't for me and that I had a big interest in nursing. I always new that I liked nursing and health interested me but I never considered it as a Career because I thought I wasn't smart enough but then when I got accepted into the education program and realized how demanding that was i thought that maybe I could in fact handle nursing courses. I found myself reading glasses my friends Nclex book when I should have been making lesson plans and grading papers lol.

Anyhow, I was just wondering if there were any other teachers out there that went into nursing and if they can share what they think?

I am not a teacher, but I actually have a friend in my nursing classes that was a school principal prior to nursing school! She felt she wasn't being "challenged" enough in her position so she decided to Go into nursing. She does fantastic and is very people savvy. I think that may be a good part coming from teaching is your ability to connect and speak well to others you don't even know. Sometimes that tends to be a hurdle for people :)
