Should I switch to post-partum/L&D?

by Jenn_P

Hi,
I'm currently working as a pediatric nurse, and am starting to look for something a little different. I don't have any experience in post-partum or labor and delivery, but I've always thought that it sounds interesting. Can someone who works/worked in this field tell me a bit about the ups and downs of these positions? I've heard that it can get boring? What does a typical day look like?
Thanks

I don't work PP/L&D, but I'm hoping that you get some good responses here. What aspects of your peds job do you like? What aspects are you hoping will be different in the next job?
