RN Coder Advice

Hi,

I am very interested in becoming a RN coder and I have been doing research and I have a few questions. I know that AHIMA offers a CCS ceritification, with this can you only work in the hospitals? I would rather be in a outpatient setting. What is the job outlook good for RN coders? Would you recommend taking courses from a school to become certified or study for the test on my own? Any replies will help. I am very excited that I have finally found an area of nursing that interests me!!
