returning to nursing after 30 years

I have taken the RN refresher course at a local university and passed with an overall grade of 96%. I have a resume full of 15 years of sales and managerial positions with a Fortune 100 Company and 10 years of owning my own company. For the last 5 years I have taken care of my elderly mother full time. I am returning to nursing not because I need to work, but because I want to do the work.
I want to do infusion nursing, IV nursing, wound care, hospice work or the like, no more than 30 hours a week, on any shift.
No one wants to hire me because I have no RECENT work experience.
I have tried to emphasize my skills at listening, being a team player, and my real excitement at doing the work for the sake of the work, but it goes on deaf ears.
If the experience is not recent, the application is denied.
How do I get past that objection?
Thank you.

Could you volunteer at a local hospice for a few months to build up experience? Just wondering....
