Relocation -Air fare for job interview in another state provided?

Hello all,

I am currently in New York and have a job interview in Florida scheduled for a hospital as a staff RN. I was wondering should the potential employer provide travel arrangements (i.e. air plane tickets, hotel) for me since I am coming from out of state. I know in other fields they do this, I’m not sure if they do this for nursing. I don't mind coming out of pocket if I know for sure I’m getting the job. But there is no guarantee. Just wanted some advice.

Thanks in advance!

I'm sure that, if they were planning on paying your travel expenses, they would have brought that up before now. In my experience, employers may provide travel and accommodation expenses for a higher level job (administrator, APN, faculty member) but not for a staff nurse applicant.

Previous poster is correct. If this is covered, it is always mentioned early in the process.
