Hi everyone! I am new to this site. This is my very first post ever...
I am a canadian RN working in L&D with 2 years experience. My husband and I have been thinking of relocating to TX (houston, DFW, etc.). I have been looking up different websites and still not having any ideas where to start with...
1) Should I pass the NCLEX and get the license first before I start looking for jobs?
2) Should I contact with the HR in hospitals or agents/recruiters? I've heard some unpleasant experience with agents and recruiters. I am afraid.... Could anyone share the experience? Any suggestions? Is it beneficial to have a recruiter? Anything I should be aware of?
3) I was told that recruiter/agent would assist nurses from other countries to pass NCLEX and help to get the immigration process (visa screen ) done, and also the expense would be paid for.
4) Would it be possible for me to continue on my career in L&D in TX?
Thank you for your time!
