Reapplying after rejection?

Nurses Career Support

Hey I just have a few general questions about the job application and interview process.

This does not apply to me, I am just curious :saint:

1. If you apply for a job online via the facility's website (and you have all the necessary skills and experience), and they reject you with no interview (meaning they just send you a generic copy-and-paste email saying that you were not considered), is it okay to reapply for another position granted that you have all the minimum requirements? (this one does apply to me)

2. If you apply for a job and get an interview but are not offered a job, is it acceptable to reapply for another open position at the same facility?

thanks!

There's really no way to answer your question because we have no idea how that particular application site has been configured. Online application systems can be set up to include a lot of different processes and controls. According to the information you've shared, there has to be some type of background 'screen' going on but there is not enough information to make any conclusions about the criteria that are being used.

Online job application systems that require you to set up a user account are usually designed to retain your demographics and history, including which jobs you have applied for and the outcomes of those applications. Even if you don't have to create an account, the software could still be capturing some of your information. Go ahead and apply for the jobs you qualify for.. if you keep getting those blind 'rejections', I'd suggest that you contact their HR department and ask them why this is happening. There could be a glitch.

Thanks for your reply. I was just wondering in general if HR won't interview someone they already interviewed for a previous position. As for the first part to my question, I applied for a job and the next business day I got a copy and paste email from the nurse recruiter saying I wasn't considered. I just applied for another open position 3 days ago and I have yet to get a rejection email. So I guess that's a good sign? haha

I have been applying to several different positions in two different hospitals. One of them rejected me to all that I applied without an interview. I decided to apply for more positions and hope for the best.

In my opinion, I will continue to apply for different positions. I feel that it's the same facility but there are different units.
