Pre-employment Physical

Hello,

I accepted a position at a VA and basically have been cleared to begin in March. However, they are waiting on the MRO to received the lab results from the drug screen. It's been a solid 2 weeks (10 business days) since the screen. I do not take illicit substances and refrained from even taking a sudafed the day before the screen (I had a cold). HR stated it should have taken about a week to have the results. Any ideas to why the MRO has yet to receive the results? Even if it was positive for something, he should have the results by now.

Delays happen. All you can do is hang tight and keep waiting.

Look at it this way: no news must be good news, as it's likely that if you had failed the test for any reason, you would have learned about it by now.
