Personality Typing...

Nurses Career Support

Published

For those into personality typing, I am an Intj. I've been researching the nursing career for a while now and I am really trying to assess the qualities of a career that I could be happy in. So, I've seen something online about nursing not being a good fit for Intj's. (Yes I understand one should not solely rely on personality typing to dictate their lives)

Any other Intj's. What do you like about nursing and what don't you like. Which types do you think nursing fits best, and which type do you think is not so good for nursing, or won't be satisfied with it?:specs:

I am INTJ and leaning toward psych or hospice.

INFJ here and hoping to pursue psychiatric/mental health nursing!

I replied on the other thread. I'm an INFJ and work in oncology. Night shift seems to suit my introverted side, not sure I could work days as an RN. Too many families, doctors, and ancillary staff around for my liking.

This is some interesting stuff! Keep on pursuing my fellow nurses!

I am a CCRN and INTJ or INTP. The test is supposed to help you recognize your true preferences. For me it was dead on. I am in a position working nights in which I don't have to deal with mobs of people, just a few. I have a lot of autonomy within protocol limitations.
