You should be able to find whatever you need to know there, reciprocity and such... you may want to look at your maryland website as well, because they may charge a fee to verify your license..
hope that it helps.

To obtain a license application and general information for a profession:
  • Voice: 518-474-3817
  • Email: op4info@mail.nysed.gov
  • Fax: 518-474-1449
  • TDD/TTY: 518-473-1426
  • Write: Office of the Professions, State Education Building - 2nd floor, Albany, NY 12234
I was looking at the website and didnt see a lot of clear cut info on it, but if you call the numbers above, or emaill them, I am willing to bet that they can get you going in the right direction.

NCLEX exam has reciprocity, nursing licenses do not. And NY is not a compact state. You will need to apply to NY via the "License by Endorsment" application.

You will need a NY license to practice there. If you graduated from a US school, then the wait is usually about six weeks; if from overseas, then there is a different process that needs to be followed.
