Does anyone have an idea about nursing responsibilities in insurance company? How pressure full is it to work in insurance company? Do you suggest on working at insurance comp?

You're probably need to be more specific? What type of job are you referring to? There are all sorts of areas that may employ nurses, from handling appeals to case management or reviewing billing.

Like any job there are a lot of variables to consider. All insurance jobs aren't the same anymore than all hospital jobs are the same. I work for an insurance company. Pros: I have my own cubicle, I get to eat lunch everyday, I can go to the bathroom any time I want, I don't work weekends or holidays. I make good money and have good benefits. I don't have to clean up poop. Cons: We have to meet metrics, meaning every second must be accounted for, and some times callers are not pleasant. Plus the work is mentally strenuous. But all in all I enjoy the work.

Going to the restroom and being able to eat lunch would be a dream come true. I am ready to get away from bedside nursing. I have been a nurse for almost 2 years, but the missed meals and feeling like I have been hit by a truck after I end my shift is wearing me down quickly. If anyone can steer me the right direction, I would be eternally grateful.

sounds like it is probably a coordination of care type position. those are pretty nice. the job is to make sure that patients are getting the services they need, but not being billed for stuff they don't, AND you streamline treatment paths so that there is an end in sight for their situation. I know people who have done them. I turned down a position at an insurance company earlier this summer because IRONICALLY, they didn't offer good health insurance benefits! they DID offer a stipend to buy them, but I thought it ridiculous to work for a massive insurance company and have to go buy private insurance plans for my family!
