Is Nurse Practioner what I am looking for?

by cmm430

Educating patients and their families my favorite part of nursing. I have been a nurse for about a year (second career) working in Oncology. It is wonderful. Recently I have been thinking about graduate school. Becoming an Adult Nurse Practitioner sounds interesting. It sounds like it will allow me the opportunity to spend more time educating patients. Is this correct?
I need help figuring out if this is the direction I want to take.
Thank you.
