Nurse Anesthetists


Hello,
I am currently a ICU nurse and planning to become a CRNA, but whenever i talk to friends and co workers about it i get mixed response, some say its of no use doing it, some say its a great idea.

I am very confused. Can somebody guide me.

I'm not one, but FWIW its in huge demand here in my area. The hospital I work at will even fund someone going to school for it, because they want people so badly.

That being said, I think a lot of people assume that the only reason anyone does it is for the money, and that makes them react funny and make unfair assumptions.

Where is your hospital at. I'd love to get reimbursed for going. One downside it's another licesning exam involved + I gotta get my NCLEX out of the way!!
