Hello everyone

I was offered a job in New York City in one hospital that is not a City hospital but it's on the 1199 union. The other job I was offered is a city Hospital job and it's not under the union 1199. The first job I was offered I was told I would get 10 patients per shift it's an eight hour shift by the way. The city Hospital would be six patients per shift sometimes up to 10 patients but mostly six patients per day and it's on the 12 shift. Is a city Hospital from New York City better than a private hospital ? can you guys tell me the benefits of having 1199 or the benefits of being part of the city Hospital ? I really don't know what to do but I know that I will be working in med surg units in both of these hospitals regardless so I would want to know what do you think thank you so much!

I would go with the city hospital, union, low patient ratio. Do you prefer to work 8 or 12 hours? What's the benefit like? Are you waiting on other jobs? No job is perfect. I would look at the bigger picture and write down pros and cons for each facility and compare which list is longer for pros :) You will make the right choice.

helpful info thanks
