New Graduate In a New Location - difficulties in job search

Hi all -
I just recently got my RN license in northern california and am so frustrated. Most of my classmates have found jobs in the hospitals they precepted at in northern california. However, I have since decided to relocate to southern california (specifically in orange county) and am having such a difficult time finding a job.

Everywhere I applied to has responded with a "call us after one year experience" answer.

Is there something I am doing wrong? I have just been applying to hospitals online (as instructed) and so far, no bites.

Does anyone have any advice?

Anything would be appreciated. Thank you!
