I'm a new nursing student, and I was wondering what any of you all thought about the chances of a new graduate landing a job in the ICU? I have certifications in CNA, EMT, telemetry, but NO experience. I want to somehow prepare myself for the ICU right after graduation, so I'm just wondering if it's likely. To help, I was thinking of getting a part time job as a CNA in the ICU during the program on the weekends.

This is very possible as I am a new ADN grad and have landed a job in the ICU at UCLA. Many hsopitals have new grad programs that offer entry right into the ICU, just call around. Good luck :spin:
