New Grad, Looking for connections in Manhattan/Brooklyn NY: PEDIATRICS

I am graduating in May of this year from University of Maryland with a Masters of Science in nursing concentrating as a Clinical Nurse Leader and I am looking for an entry level RN position in manhattan/brooklyn. Ideally, in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit since I have worked in a PICU for almost a year as a student nurse and I am doing my practicum in a PICU in Maryland. I have heard you need to know someone to get into any of these hospitals in NY, not even considering the factor I want to work in a PICU. I am desperate because I do not know ANY nurses in NY.

I have been looking at:

• Morgan-Stanley Children's Hospitals (they have a new grad program)
• Kings County in Brooklyn
• NY Methodist in Brooklyn
• NY Langone
• MT Sinai
• Maimonides

Anyone have any advice or know anyone or anything at all??
