I have a few questions towards the job of neonatal. Specifically speaking about level 2, so it's not NICU though you can speak on NICU.

I have heard a few people have to end their career or take a break from Neonatal Nursing as their job because it becomes too much of a emotional stress. So I was wondering if as a general if the hospitals offer neonatal nurses to take breaks from their career to relieve some of the emotional stress? And if so how much?

Second question branches off the first is, would hospitals allow a neonatal nurse to take a year off and return like 3-5 years on 1 year off ratio?
