Need honest advice please.

My situation has been a hard one. I graduated in Dec. 99 with a LPN license with plans of getting my RN. Due to unexpected family events as soon as I graduated I stayed home with my daughter. I didn't have any employment and now I want to go back into nursing. My concern is what I will need to do to get employment since I didn't work after graduation. All advice is sincerely appreciated.
