Re: need advice
It appears to me that most agencies are not really going to go out of their way to orient you. I am a new LPN; just got my license last June and I work at a hospital full time and an agency on the side. They did not orient me to anything, but what I would do before I accepted a case was to visit the client while the other nurse was there so that she can show me what is going on and familiarize me to the case. At least there would be no surprizes. I must ask, what city and state do you live in? I ask this because it does appear that the salary is lower than what I would expect, unless you are an LPN. I have friends that applied in other states as RNs and told me that they were paid peanuts compared to other areas, so, this is a curiousity question. Best wishes in your goals!
