Nurses Career Support

Published

Hey!

I am moving to the Irvine area of California in October. I currently do private duty while finishing my online BSN, making 28/h in Jersey. I love private duty! I was wondering if any nurses who work/have worked for Maxim can tell me what their pay rate is? I'm doing research online but finding numbers scattered across the board, country, and year! I just would like an up to dat, geographically relevant answer! Thanks!!!

In the LA area, in the recent past, they were reportedly paying LVNs as low as $15/$16 an hour. In one instance I saw an opportunity for $14 an hour for LVNs. Can not say that I've seen the RN rate or have met an RN to give their recent rate of pay. One might expect the RN to get $17 or $18 to match the LVN rate, but that is just guessing, and assuming that they even bother to pay RNs more, at this point in time. Look on the forums at indeed dot com or glassdoor and you might find where individuals have posted about rates.

FWIW, Maxim now has competition from other agencies for the honor of offering the lowest pay. This info gleaned from employment websites, personal experience when applying for work, and reports from recent employees.
