lost in space-career confusion

by rob214

Hopefully someone can help me. I graduated from nursing school December 2006 and started my nursing career in the OR. Unfortunately, I was not a good fit for the OR. I was unable to complete the internship and after about 6 months, I transferred to the ophthalmology clinic in the hospital where I work. I like the clinic, but feel that I might need floor experience to be able to move into other areas. I never wanted to work the floor, and the thought of actually doing it scares the life out of me. Do I really need floor experience to get into things like occupational health nursing or research?

Lost in space.
