Looking for information about nursing?

I'm currently applying to several nursing schools in my state to become an RN. My long term career goal would be to work in mental health/psychiatric setting. I was wondering if anyone had any advice or information on that specific career choice and also any information on what nursing school is like and any advice while going through the program? Thanks for any help!
