labor and delivery nurse

Just wanted to know if I wanted to be a nurse that deals with labor and delivery, is there a special type of field for it? I dont know how to go about doing that.

Simply going to nursing school and then getting a job in a Labor and Delivery unit. Some units are open to hiring new graduates, others are not. It just depends.

The more maternal-child experiences you can get in school, the more likely you will be offered a job in L&D over another new graduate. OB and Peds units can be very competitive.
