Green Jul 11, '00I am trying to make a list of basic lab values that a new grad would need to know when starting her/his day (ie: for telemetry we should know the pt's potassium value which may cause arrythmias). If you are specializing in L&D, M/S, Oncology etc. which would you tell a new grad to know? Any ideas?

The rest will come in time and practice, and really they have H or L highlighted for them already on most of it anyway. A helpful thing to teach them may be how to properly interpret a CBC, and ABG's.
