Interested in changing from M/S to something else?

by amy0123

2 things:

I have been a med surg nurse for almost 2 years. I am strongly considering a different nursing field. I know all fields of nursing are very stressful. But I dont know what to change over to.. ICU? What type? L&D? or stay with med surg and go back to school to become a nurse practitioner? Anyone made a change that they are happy with?

I would like to learn more and expand my knowledge in the nursing field.

There are several hospitals in the area that I am currently living in. Some offer educational programs along with working. NYU. Columbia Presbyterian. Those are the two main schools that I am considering. I just don't know anybody who works there or is attending school at their program. Does anyone have any experience or know friends that can please share info.
