How difficult is it to get into NYU's College of Nursing as a Transfer Student?

I have recently decided in my state of unemployment in the corporate world to listen to my desires that I have had for years and try to get into a Nursing School for an education and career as a Nurse.
I attended college many years ago but never finished my degree (first I majored in Business Administration, then Fine Arts)

I have talked with and researched NYU's College of Nursing and am going to apply as a transfer student.
I am planning on attending their Open House October 5th, and am in the process of gathering all the required documents for an application.
I don't really know what my GPA was, or how many transferrable credits I have, but I have requested my transcripts from my previous colleges and will know when I receive them.
My prior education is definitely not in the same league as NYU, however.
From what people in the Admissions office have told me, they don't accept only on prior academic achievements, but they accept based upon the entire application package, (the letters of recommendation, the essay, etc.)
Now, this seems to me not all that difficult, but maybe I am missing something?

I would like to know from anyone who has attended NYU's COllege of Nursing as a transfer student, or from anyone who has applied (as a transfer student) and/or been accepted or declined your experience.
What you included in your application, if they gave any feedback, was your previous GPA/college outstanding?
Any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated.
I must say this is a huge change for me and kind of scary for me to stop working and go back to college, but exciting at the same time because I really do have the passion to become a Nurse.

Thanks, in advance for any responses!
