My wife and I are both attending ECPI-MCI here in VA and its come to our attn along with several of our classmates they lied and claimed to be accredited when they arent. They arent listed on NLN and the one agency they claim accredited them ABHES only lists their MA program as being accredited with them.. Anybody had any experience with them on this subject and if its true or not. If they lied and told us they were and it turns out they aren't what recourse do we have???

I am pretty sure they are in the process of becoming accredited. A new program (such as MCI) can not become accredited immediately after opening. It is a multi-stage process that takes a couple of years. If the school successfully completes the process, it is generally considered to have been accredited from the beginning.

My understanding of MCI's situation is that they are in the midst of the process and have been successful in the early stages of the process. That's no guarantee that they will succeed with the rest ... but they got off to a good start.

If it turns out that they lied, then you could possibly sue them -- but as I am not a lawyer, I don't know much about that.

I suggest you talk to the school's administration to get the details of their current situation.

Edited: I see you are from Roanoke. My knowledge is of the programs in Virginia Beach and Newport News. I don't know anything about a program in the Roanoke.
