Hi everyone. I would love any and all advice on my situation. I graduated 13 years ago with an ARN degree. I NEVER sat for the boards for many reasons that looking back on weren't very good reasons but thats the past. Now at 40 I've decided to go back into nursing. My questions and concerns are as follows.
1. According to the State of Fl. I need to take a nurse refresher course then be recommended for the N-CLEX. I have signed up for the course but am terrified that 1 simple 6 week course followed by a 96 hour clinical rotation will prepare me enough for these boards.
2. Has anyone done anything similiar to what I'm doing now? Taking so much time off from the medical field then got back into it. Is it that easy? Will I really know enough to PASS the N-Clex and will I be able to take good care of patients.
Thanx for any advise or info. or both. I'm determined to do this despite any potential obstacles but would love to here others thoughts or advise.
