I have just graduated from University with a degree in Business Management.
I'm currently under student loans.
Even though my degree is in Business Management, there has always been a part of me that wants the career as an RN. I currently have a job as an IT Admin Support. I volunteered at the local children's hospital and I found that patient care experience (as a volunteer) was rewarding.
Within the next 10 years (I'm Currently 22), I'm thinking about going into Nursing School
. However, I do have loans taken out from University, and I plan on working to save up money for the possibility of Nursing School later in life.
I have MOST of the Nursing Pre-Requisite classes required to get into Nursing School already finished (with a decent GPA of 3.65)
My question is: what advice would you pass onto someone in my situation? I'm looking to volunteer at the Hospital again. What kind of career moves should I be making to go into this field? How can I make myself a competitive applicant and move my way into the Nursing/Healthcare field?
Thank you for your time. I would appreciate any help!
