Endorsement of License to Texas

Nurses Career Support

hi fellow nurses! I'm a newbie here and i just wanted to have an enlightenment regarding how to endorse my license from New Mexico to texas. Hope you guys could be of a great heart to guide me how. Thanks!

I'm beginning the process of endorsing my license from NY to Texas... so far it seems Texas board of nursing has several steps to meet requirement... But I hope it's worth the effort... I'm looking to move to Dallas or Houston, which ever place I find a job... where do u plan to move?

Hi! could you help me with the step by step process? did you do it thru online application or paper application? I don't have plans of moving since I am already a permanent resident here in texas, I just wanted to endorse my license from New Mexico to here but I am a bit confused with the steps.

I completed the online application. The cost was nearly $200. After submitting the application there are a set of additional steps that must be completed in order to receive permanent licensure. 1) take nurse jurisprudence exam which I've heard is fairly easy 2) get Fingerprint and background check... probably easier since u reside in Texas 3)Provide verification of license using NURSYS system online... doesn't have to be in that order but all steps musty be completed... Good luck

Did you train in the US or in another country? Just with you commenting you are a permanent resident

Thank you so much for the enlightenment. I tried calling the Texas BON and they told me to do it thru paper submission and i Don't get the point what's the difference if I apply online. But as you have stated the steps, I think I'd prefer those. Thanks for your response! Good luck to you as well.

You need to do paper copy then I think because you will have to post additional paperwork. CES is required or other acceptable assessment. Read page 4 of this link http://www.bne.state.tx.us/pdfs/forms_pdfs/endorsement_pdfs/RNEnd2014.pdf
