Re: cosmetic dermatology nurse?
In the meantime, you may want to get your aesthetician liscense (you don't need an RN) by attending a ruputable cosmotology school. Look up Jean Madeline
http://www.jeanmadeline.com/jmi_programs.html (It's the esthiology program) to get an idea of what the program is even if you don't have this particular school nearby. I learned about this when my mother got cosmetic surgery. Her doctor's office provided her a voucher for a free facial peel at follow-up. They had an in-house aesthetician who did her facial peel. She was not a nurse. She had her own exam room with her machinery (i.e. microdermabrasion machine and others). Of course she had been doing it for years but she rented that exam room from the Physician (plastic surgeon) and set her own schedule. By doing the free facials for surgery patients, she built a client base.
I also recommend networking. If you can find the resources the get a service done (i.e. facial) at a place in your area that you feel is reputable and strike up some conversation with the people who work there. Find out where they went to school. I agree that the higher end procedures will require a Nursing/PA degree and on-the job training. At my dermatologist's office, the PA does all the laser treatments. This is where I go:

Hope this helps. Good Luck!
