College programs focused on missionary nursing?

Hi everyone. I have a question for anyone who might have a bit of info... Does anyone know of any colleges in the USA that offer nursing degree programs specifically focused on nurses who want to work as missionaries? I've done some volunteer work with YWAM (Youth With A Mission), and took care of any first aid issues that came up. I loved the little medical work I've done, and want to go to nursing school, but hope to find a school (especially a Christian one) that has a focus on medical missions work. Thanks! Any help is much appreciated!!

One I have heard of is Biola University in California. Another is Seattle Pacific University. I imagine that it dependos on where you live and what denomination you are as to what school you would want to look at. Try a GOOGLE search for Nursing School Missionary Work.

Have you tried searching for Parish Nursing? The one school I can think of with this program is Florida Hospital. Their website has the following description:

About Parish Nursing
A Parish Nurse is a registered nurse who services the wholistic health needs of a congregation and in so doing reclaims the healing ministry of the faith community. In 1998, the ANA recognized Parish Nursing as a specialty and has published "Scope of Practice" and "Standards of Practice" for Parish Nursing. In addition, a standardized curriculum was developed and recommended by the International Parish Nurse Resource Center.

Kettering College of Medical Arts In Dayton Ohio, has a lot of mission trip at least one to two a year that have credits and is mission work, to other countries they have been doing a yearly trip to belize, trying to go to guyana and mission trips down south for katrina and one to chicago. They have wonderful opportunities.
