Can nurses use medicinal marijuana?

I was diagnosed with GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) about 3 years ago. I live in San Francisco, I was given a prescription for medical marijuana, and I must say it has help me a lot. I smoke at night, after work, and it puts me to sleep nicely. I'm thinking of becoming an RN but Im unsure about whether I can continue with my treatment if I choose this field. Does anyone have some factual information on this matter? Greatly appreciated.

That is something that we can't answer. Best bet is to contact the board of nursing in CA.
