ALOHA! need help!

Hello fellow health care workers!

I am to this site and would like some information on getting scholarships, grants, aids, and maybe loans for my nursing career. Currently, I am an ER techy at a level 2 trauma center in Hawaii. I've been doing this for about 4 years now and working on my prereqs for nursing school.
Where have you all gone to get help? I am looking of moving towards the mainland and ditching this rock cause the nursing programs here won't accept me cause there is a waiting list and they wanted me to get at least 12 credits from thier school before I get into thier nursing program.

I am considering of leaving everything behind... ie. selling my truck leaving, my puppy, leaving my personal belongings... stuffs like that.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Mahalo,
Scotty

Piggy Bank ALOHA Scotty !
Hi,
I would first contact www.FASA.ed.gov
Federal Student Aid. I personally feel the money offered through most grants is hardly enough 4 school costs and living expenses ( mortage payment ect..).

What type of nursing program BSN or ADN ? I am currently attending CCSN ADN program, it's a limited entry program as most nursing program are.
In Las Vegas ..UNLV offers a BSN nursing program.

There are a lot of native Hawaiian's living here in Vegas, I think it's pretty cool!
Also ,What kind of puppy do U have?
I have a big Black Lab. and 3 little dogs they are so much fun 2 have.
Just an extra note most airlines will allow pets on the plane if it's a med. -small you can have them with you when U fly.

Best of Luck 2 U !
