Aside from New Zealand, what other country acknowledges the Australian Nursing License (Div 1 nurse)?

I think only NZ because the UK, US and South African nurses they have to undergo sorts of application and processes in AHPRA. Better call the client's representative in AHPRA for clarification.

Each country will have their own requirements and for most NZ will be accepted as long as requirements are met however some countries like Canada and the US will still require you to sit their nursing exam

There are no other agreements. The one for NZ Australia is the Trans Tasman as both countries have agreements of mutual understanding, Australia being so close and NZ bring so much less population and 1/3 of their population living in Australia.

They hold dearly to a type of independence from Australia.:)

Oh this is good to know. At least should i be unable to find sponsorship in australia, i can try to look for a job in new zealand.

NZ has a seperate nursing board therefore it is another application and currently you have to sit an English test and jump through so many hoops to get on the nz nursing council!!!! It is alot more expensive and more hassle thn getting on AHPRA!!!! And to be honest it's not even worth looking at New Zealand!!! Less pay!!

No IELTS if you have AHPRA registration for NewZealand Registered nurse, though difficult if not Australian to have a visa to work there as RN is off skilled shortage list. Heard Australia will follow same.

You will not find a job or sponsorship in NZ without first becoming a Registered Nurse with the NZ Council of Nurses. The requirements for registration are now very similar to Australia.

It can be difficult, expensive and time consuming and even if you are granted registration, you have to compete with Kiwis to get a job. This year, immigration laws have changed and many nursing positions are not eligible for short-listing of work visas.

You also have to have 2 years and 2500 hours of experience to get your license.
