Hi guys! Does anyone know about Philippine Management Inc. I was referred to that agency by a colleague. However, I want to know first if it's a genuine agency and it's worth trying. Any review from this agency would be very much appreciated.

Thank you!

Heard they charge a fortune in interest. Unless you have a job lined up absolutely DO NOT take loans out to finance your trip, educatin, expenses in Australia.

Not a day goes by, that nurses from the Phillipines are in dire need of assistance because they cannot find work and their loan company is now wanting their money back. It is getting to the stage, of 'buyer beware' as the taxpayer, we can only assist a few thousand a day of people in trouble in this country.

But nurses from the Phillipines keep signing up, each individual, believing they will not be the ones effected with no work.

Thanks, Ceridwyn for the info! I'm really wary of those types of agents who see us as milking cows.

This is not just a warning specifically aimed at this company, it is one of many and well known to provide loans to nurse applicants to Australia, none of them come outright with all the percentages, money, fine print etc etc, until the nurse is Registered in Australia with no job and awaiting PR visa's if they can get them, as 457 are now difficult too obtain, so the wait is for the PR visa if the nurse qualifies which can take 3-6months. Meanwhile loan company wants money as it is now nearly 12 months since the loan began, you see my point? Nurse still might get job, not enough to pay loan back with all the interest and live. Australia is the most expensive place to just survive.

So *********************Phil Mgt Inc.? Thank you po.

Staff note, please post only in English

Still miss the point, do not take out any loan, there are not many jobs, the government under union direction is reassessing the need to import nurses as Australian new graduates and overseas nurses with PR are not getting jobs. Nurses may be taken off the SOL list!! Not worth the risk unless you can pay outright.

As a Filipino, I understand where some (or many) nurses from the Philippines are coming from as to why they need to migrate elsewhere.

However, I do urge my fellow Filipinos to do a lot of research about it. Search about available visas and whether nurses are eligible for them. Research if these visas are available and current. Research about current and future immigration changes. Research about job vacancies and employment trends. Research on how you'll meet the registration standards and how much money you will have to spend. Research EVERYTHING. And if you all do your own research, we'll never see threads like this again. Coz really, it's becoming a hard task and a headache to keep repeating ourselves about this issue. But I won't get tired reminding all of you about this so you all be informed about your decision. But do your share, research!

Thanks for the info. I really did a research about this agency, however, I can't find any reviews about it on the internet, that's why I'm asking for your help guys. It's true I've read a post about said agency in this forum. However, it didn't tell much information about it.

Anyways, thanks for the info guys! Wish you the best in your careers as nurses. God bless you and your families!

:banghead: We were not talking about researching the agency, did you not read Í''s post? its researching about what happens after, when you have a massive debt and a high probability of no work in Australia, nurses maybe taken off the immigration list.....you will not have a chance then of any work or visa. Work is getting tough to get as sponsorship....government is under great pressure by unions to stop all sponsorship of foreign nurses. Thats the research....is your speciality always being advertised to Australia? if you are thinking of using agency that reports having çontacts as a 'sister' hospital or contacts in HR, immi is watching.

Ah ok.

Hi shaynetot,

I'm not referring to the agency per se, but the actual facts about migration and employment. And I'm not saying that migrating or working here in Australia is impossible either. There are still some sponsorship going on to be honest. But it is becoming extremely difficult. You've got to have the right timing, right job, and right place, if you know what I mean. We recently hired 2 new grads and they said, new grads before could just walk in to the hospital and have a place in the new grad program. Now, they have to wait months before having a place. And it will all add up new grads after new grads after new grads.

I guess what I'm saying is, if after your research and assessment of your situation you still want to proceed, be prepared for the difficulties. God bless.

Guys, how about those RN's who will go to Australia thru a student visa and will take a course of Aged Care III, what is your insight/s?

Thanks.
