Clinical placement

  1. 0 I'm a nursing student. Is it preferable to do clinical placement at a top hospital that would take me about a hour to get there or do clinical placement close to where I live, like 10 mins away, but at a lesser known hospital? Does doing clinical placement at a top hospital give you an edge over other students when applying for graduate nursing jobs?

No, at the end of the day it doesn't matter. When you apply they don't look at where you did your clinical placements. As long as you get your clinical skills (such as IV's,wound dressings etc) it doesn't matter.
