i loved your story. i exactly depicts what kind of emotions i'm feeling right now. I just took the boards today and I came out of that building crying. My test shut off at 75.. i felt like i was doing good until the last 3 questions were knowledge questions with 1 worded answers. All 3 which i didn't recognize, so i felt extra extra dumb. i was feeling good until the very very end. now i'm just in complete confusion..?!

You handled it better than I did. When mine shut off at 75. I burst into tears, then drank heavily. LOL

so interviewed and it's an offer of 29 per hour pplus 4 K sign on bonus and 2500 relocation package....my husband got an offer in kansas city (with benifits as well)...now we're debating what to do? he was offered 37 K per yr.

the employment for me is for SNIFF and they will rotate me into the hospital to give me that individual training. i 'm scared to let this opportunity go since it is so difficult to find jobs in CA or anywhere at this time in ANY department!

What should i do????? please help.....CA or kansas city, MO???????!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for posting this! your story gave me a very slim glimmer of hope after I was POSITIVE that I failed with 75 questions. Most of which I had no idea about or never heard about, and the test taking strategies that I learned seemed to be of no help.
When it was time for my results to be posted online I left to wander Walmart (i just could not take it any more) and had my wife check the results and call me. She called me and said I passed!!

Thanks again for posting, you gave the most accurate descriptions of NCLEX testing I have ever read!

HEY EMMANEWGRAD -
Hi! My brother & his wife live in Kansas City, MO!! Great places to live just outside of city and raise a family. He and his wife serve at the International House of Prayer - Grandview, MO - if you're a believer you would love the place and hey if you're not check it out - no membership rules - hee hee just kidding! Anyway, what hospital did you interview at? I know my brother had a friend who worked at a Jewish hospital there and really liked it. Cost of living in Missouri - WAY lower than California so obviously wages lower too. I don't know anything about what area you're considering in California so I can't comment on same. Just wanted to touch base with you and if you decide to go to K.C. I'd be happy to get you any info you want! God Bless!
